Today I am showcasing 2 Halloween cards I made using chalk. I have loved using chalk for various projects but I have always found it just wonderful for Halloween crafts. This is partially because of how old and spooky you can make stuff look by adding a little but of chalk because of the matte look it has.

On this card the spiders are all done in chalk. I used the new chalk marker to make the webbing the big spider is coming down the card on. I had patted lightly on the bottom of the card with calk to give it a dusty dirty look.

the big spider was glue dotted down on its butt, and then 3-d foam taped in the front to give the feeling that it is coming off the card.

I used versa mark to stamp the image of the spider. Then I patted it with chalk to color in the image. I stamped with versa mark of the image over itself 2 more times, and patted talk on lighter each time to give a generation stamping feel that gives the feeling of movement. To ensure that it went down lighter I used brown chalk for the second image, and a grey blue for the 3rd image.

Here is a close up of the image chalked, before it was cut out.

The skeleton image is where I did my chalking on this card. I did the opposite as I did on the previous card. I first rubbed chalk on the piece of card stock, using 3 colors and making a design with them. I then took the image and rubbed it on my versa mark pad, and then stamped it on to the talked area. This gave a negative image.
