Technique Blog Hop- rock n' roll

I love the fall, but with all my school work I need to be able to have a project that I could get done quick. So I chose to use the Flirty workshop on the go, because a layout with instructions is provided, and it had a fall theme that I knew I would enjoy and get to do some of my favorite stamped images.... LEAVES!

This is the whole layout, and because we are still in the fall season I didn't want to pick a set of pictures for it just yet. One thing I loved about this layout is the amount of photos that go on it.

left page of the layout. on this layout I cut part of the tree after applying it to my page with glue dots. This ensured that I only removed as much as the tree as I wanted, and by using the glue dots it allowed me to manipulate where the tree is and isn't glued down so I can insert pictures at a later date.

to go along with the rock n' roll theme when I used my CTMH markers on this, I only colored the edges of the stems.

While the focus today is Rock n' Roll stamping, I did want to highlight that this is a second generation stamping. This is where the image is stamped, then immediately stamped again with out re-inking the image. This allows for the second image (second generation of the same inking) to be a lighter tone.

for this leaf i did the rock n roll technique by rubbing the stamp on my honey ink pad, then I rock n rolled it on its edges on my gold rush in pad, and then very lightly rolled the edges on my ruby ink pad. The veins were created by doing a second generation stamp of cocoa.

for the rock n roll on this leaf I put the stamp in Honey ink first applying the ink for full coverage. Then rolled the stamp around on it's edges on my smoothie ink pad, then stamped it to my paper.
