Stamp of the month

February is here and love is in the air! At least it is for some. For others you may just be feeling the joy of tax season starting and waiting "patiently" for the $$ to come in. Reguardless Febuary is a great month because not only is it short but it says spring is around the corner!

This month the stamp of the month is a Loved themed stamp. I must say I just love the foxes, and I find that even if I didn't have this stamp in time for Valentine's day it would be great to use next year, as well with just general purposes through out the year.

Example: reminder cards of reminding a person how much you love them, and anniversary cards.

Each month you can purchase a new D-size stamp set, available for one month only, for just $5 — that’s over 70% off retail! When you place an order of $50 or more in Close To My Heart products, you qualify for this special Stamp of the Month pricing.

Here is some artwork done by Close to My Heart with this stamp set.

If you love this stamp set, order it today or by the end of February when placing an order of $50 or more on My Website.

Using up your stash blog hop- making room for new paper

“If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" you are right on track. WELCOME! You should be coming from Shirley’s Blog.

If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list of hoppers on Joy’s Blog. I have also complied the blog hop list below for anyone that gets lost. Let's get started.

Today I am showcasing some Dream pop paper. This was a popular paper that was put out for a campaign from Close to my Heart last spring. I loved the paper so much that I had gotten 2 packs. While I used one pack up I still have quite a bit left of the second pack.

Now while I will be quick to admit that I have a bad habit of hoarding my paper, I also will admit that I find it hard to justify spending money buying more paper when I already have so much. More so the patterned papers or as CTMH calls them the B&T paper. Cardstock is always a must!

With valentine's around the corner I made a layout for valentine's day. You will noticed I only put 3 photo wells. I did this since 1. I don't typically take very many pictures for this holiday, and 2. it gives me an excuse to use up more paper on a second layout if I actually end up with more than 3 pictures.

This is the entire two page spread.
This is the first page. Part of this page is taking some of the base elemental designs from an example layout that was done by Close to My Heart with this paper. I did use the artbooking cartridge for my journaling spot, and adhered it to the page with washi tape.
While I also used the artbooking cartridge for the photo wells on this page. I cut out the candy hearts with the Cricut Craft room's free cuts from last week. If you look quick it may still be available! I however could not pass up the cutness of the candy hearts. Which this paper did a great job to be the color of candy. I also was able to use one of my last irristiable journaling chip board pieces from a package on this since it was shaped as a heart.

Supply List: (all item codes have been linked to my website for easy of price checking and purchasing.)

Dreampop paper- retired

Using up your Stash- Glitter and and Glitz Gel

If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" you are right on track. WELCOME! You should be coming from Rachel's Blog. There are 9 participants this month. If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list of hoppers on Rachel's Blog.

Let's get started. Today I am showcasing a Joy Fold card I made for a card swap I am in. I used the glitter to highlight within the card.

This is the front of the card. It is held shut by the surf board. While the picture it is hard to tell I used glitter on the word sunshine. This was achieved by using Versamark over the stamped image "sunshine" then poured glitter over the versamark.

when you open it up I left it clean for any type of message to be written. To give it a little something I took my glitter glitz and put it in the white section of the turtle's shell. (again with the picture it may be hard to see.)

Holidays from the Heart Gift Guide Hop

The holiday guide from Close to my Heart is live and ready for you to enjoy all the goodies. To show you many wonderful things you can do with the items in the holiday gift guide you can check out all the participates in this linky blog hop. The list of participates are below, and check back over the next few days as that list may grow!

Let's get started with my project:

I chose to use the My Creations Hip Pics Album, with the Sparkle Chevron Shapes.

You get these 5 sheets of Die-cut shapes. Which is great but overwhelming. So what I did first was I poped all of those shapes out and started stamping them with the stamp set. That way they are ready to be used for this project and future projects.
Next thing I did was put some of the die cuts on the cover, for them to go around a photo. I was in debate on which photos to use with this super cute album, so I decorated it with out photos.
The pictures of my son surfer look just great with the colors of the die-cuts. So you could see what a 4x6 photo looks like in these I inserted on. There is actually a little bit of over hand on it that I need to trim off. The pictures however do fit wonderfully in this. Making it a great little photo album since the typical photos laying around are 4x6.
Here you can see where I attached die cuts on the edges to hang over the photos on purpose. I liked this a lot because it allows that scrap booking feel with stuff on the pictures. However it isn't actually on the picture.

Lastly here is some of the chevron sparkles. You may have also noticed through out I tried to leave enough room on each page to make sure I could journal if I wanted to. With out inserting pictures in to it now, you now can see what this cute album could look like and its potential as a gift to a loved one.

Supply List:
**Item codes for each item are linked to my ctmh website so you can see larger pictures of the items with their prices, and purchase if you would like. I provided the item codes so you can have an easier time shopping on your consultants website.**
